Streamline NYC Product Safety Information

Recent events involving safety recalls of products made in China by mass production toy manufacturers have had many people concerned about the safety of Chinese made products. As a small company Streamline is able to follow and track our production lines very closely. We do not have nameless departments whose sole responsibility is to get the items made more cheaply at the expense of safety, or safety departments who have no idea who is making the product. Indeed, many times you will find the same person that recommends an item at a Streamline booth is also responsible for ensuring the item’s safety compliance, has personally met with the factory and works directly with the factory responsible for the item. This allows us to give you in depth information about the product, and ensures the sales team can be very confident about the products recommended.

Lead

Our painting and coloring items have been tested to ASTM4236-D (USA) and EN71 European standards using recognized independent third party testing laboratories. All of our painted items (including Talking Alarm Clocks ) are fully compliant with and meet or exceed US regulatory requirements.

Phthalates

As many of our products are attractive to young children we began the process 2 years ago to eliminate phthalates from our plastic products, in compliance with higher European standards of children’s playthings.

Streamline is committed to providing safe and well designed décor, toy and decorative items which fully comply with or exceed US standards of testing as set forth by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).
